PDFCreator in an Enterprise Environment with Roaming Profiles

Today I deployed PDFCreator to one of our Windows print servers and unfortunately the program doesn’t work quite how I’d expected. I was hoping each user could install the printer, and when printing, have the choice on where to save the .pdf file. Instead this destination is configured by me the administrator. With security concerns in choosing a common \\NAS\Public location I ended up configuring the application to print to each users roaming profiles home directory / My Documents folder.

This has been an excellent solution for our environment to export PDF files from our applications that don’t support it natively.  Staff members are now able to print quotes and invoices as PDF and send via email directly to their customers.

HURRAY FOR PDFCreator!!!
